Through in-depth coversations, the film delves into the experiences of women and people of color who chose serve in the ranks of our fire service. This film builds on the filmmakers’ previous work for PBS on women firefighters in NYC during the September 11 crisis titled TAKING THE HEAT: The First Women Fire Fighters of New York City.
